1st Grade Bento #22 - A Thermos!

Kylee's friend at school always brings hot pockets.  So Kylee has been wanting me to pack her one for a couple of weeks.  I told her that we couldn't pack one because she wouldnt have a place to warm it up.  Then she informed me that her friend brings hers in a thermos.  SO...I finally bought her a thermos last night when I did my grocery shopping.  She reminded me 100 times to get hot pockets.  I told her I wanted to make her some homemade ones, but I haven't looked for a good recipe yet.  So I gave in and bought her the hot pockets at the store last night.  I've never used a thermos for hot things and didn't know about the preparation of a thermos.  You have to fill it with hot water with the lid on for 15 minutes prior to using it, so it will be all warmed up.  It says it keeps things warm for up to 5 hours.  From the time I made hers, to her lunch time, is 4 hours.  So we will see how it turns out.  Feel free to send me your homemade hot pocket recipes!! ;)
In the thermos:  Ham and Cheese Hot Pocket
In the Bento: Green Grapes
Carrots with Ranch Dip
and a Brownie Bite

I never thought about homemade hot pockets. I'm definitely adding this to my to do list. Hopefully, I can come up with something tasty that will work with my son's allergies.

Aw what a good mom you are. I bet homemade hot pockets would be good. I've seen some recipes for them here and there but unfortunately don't have any I kept. Let us know how they turn out if you do make them!
