Cold Weather Treats

Last night we made some cold weather treats for the cold front that blew in over night.  We made Chocolate covered Heart Marshmallows with Sprinkles for dipping in hot cocoa.  I saw Amanda make these over at Funny Days with Mommy and Maddie.  I think hers turned out a lot better than ours.  Like she said, the marshmallows were a pain.
I made these Peanut Butter Butterscotch Chipper cookies from Picky Palate.  They are delicious!!!
We had a lot of fun making Valentine Confetti that I found at 24/7 Moms.
Then I packaged up 1 package of Hot Cocoa mix w/ marshmallows, 2 Chocolate covered Heart Marshmallow Dippers, and 2 Peanut Butter Butterscotch Chipper cookies all in a cute Coffee Mug (that I found at the Dollar Store for $1) and wrapped it up in cello for each of the kiddos teachers today.  Kylee ended up getting a Bad Weather Day today so she didn't get to take hers to her teacher yet, but Clancy had to go to school (because I had to go to work) and his teachers loved theirs!
I had enough cocoa and dippers for a few more treats, so I wrapped them up too, and surprised a few of my coworkers!

2011 Coryell County Youth Fair

Kylee participated in the Coryell County Youth Fair this past weekend.  She is still just a Clover Kid.  You have to be in 3rd grade to be in 4H, so we still have another year.  She and Jenna showed Mr. Gregory's goat this year.  She had so much fun.  She also entered Cake Pops, a photo of her Daddy, and a Peace Sign Shirt.  Clancy wanted in on the action so bad!

Halloween Cake Pops

I finished up my first batch of Cake Pops last night.  I wanted to try them out so that I can make them for some upcoming events.  I love all of Bakerella's Cake Pops!!!  I googled and went from this step by step tutorial.  They were SO easy!

Cowboy Smores!

This past weekend, we were blessed with two extra sweet little girls for a day.  My grandparents had two little boys also, so we had a weenie roast!  I had seen this awesome recipe over at Funky Vintage Kitchen for Uncle Richie's Cowboy Smores so this was the perfect time to try them out!  They were SO good!  Of course the kids were much more interested in actually roasting marshmallows, but that left more for the adults to eat! :)  The next morning I had to get those three little girls up extra early for our garage sale!  My neices brought handmade hair bows to sale for a fundraiser for their upcoming mission trip next summer!  They were the cutest little sales"kids" you had ever seen!

What's For Lunch Wednesday!

I SO need to get my lake blurb on here!  I didnt even make a bento for today.  Its been rough getting back in the swing of things!  And I was only actually off work for 3 days!  I have been busy setting up a Family Share site for our family to put pics and events on.  I used Shutterfly.  I love their design and all of the capabilities!  Only complaint, the picture uploading is TERRIBLY slow :(.  Snapfish is SO much faster, but not near as neat.  I use Snapfish to store and share all of my pics.  Anyways.  So here is my BFF's work bento for today.  She was nice enough to let me take a pic and post it. (She learned her mad bento skillz from me anyways ;))
Her's looked super yummy!  Blackberries and Strawberries, Tomato slices, Green Grapes, and Bologna and Mayo on Whole Wheat!

And here is a Super Cute cupcake my coworker made today for the 4th!

(and the pinwheel really spins!!) love it!

Thanks for stopping by!!

White Fudge Dipped Easter Oreos

We made these last night.  I got the idea here!
(Sry, Pic taken with my BB....I was too tired to use my real camera ; ))

Cheddar Carrots!

Kylee had an Easter Egg Hunt and Easter Party at school Thursday.  I was not able to attend, so I made something easy to transport for her class, Cheddar Carrots!  I saw these online made with Goldfish.  I have been using the Cheddar Bunnies for Kylee's Bentos lately so I used those.  Hobby Lobby was out of Cone shaped Cello bags, so I made due with Wilton Piping Bags.  Here is a pic my Mema snapped at the Kindergarten Easter Egg Hunt.  More to come!

Kylee's First Fair

Kylee is in Clover Kids this year. Clover Kids is for the younger kids, before they are eligible to compete in 4H. They get to show a goat or rabbit and can do up to 3 Home Economic entries. Kylee did the 3 Home Economic entries and showed a goat in this years Coryell County Youth Fair. Santa brought her Baby Makaylie's goat to take care of and show in the fair. She named her Snowflake. Snowflake had to go back to Baby Makaylies house after the fair and Kylee misses her. Kylee did a great job with all her projects! She took care of her goat everyday in the freezing cold. The pillow is going to look great in her "While You Were Out" Birthday Bedroom Makeover! (Sssshhhhh!!! its a SURPRISE!!) And she tooks lots of good photos! It was hard to pick which one to use! And we are all still enjoying the big batch of Doughnut Muffins she made!
