Cheese Woody Badges
a Woody Cake Pop
Big Al's Cheetos
 Apple Slices and Carrots
and a Sugar Alien and Rex.

Clancy's 2nd Birthday Party - Toy Story

Well, after hours days weeks months of planning, Clancy's 2nd Birthday went NOTHING like I had planned.  He woke up sick on Sunday morning (his actual bday and his party date).  We waited a couple of hours and then sent word that we were changing the party to "Come and Go."  I just couldnt reschedule this time of year, and I already had all the refreshments and party favors made/bought.  The party was planned to be outside under the barnwood shed that my grandfather built this last summer and just put in a rock porch this last week.  We didn't even worry with that since we had to keep Clanc inside and most people would not come anyways.  I set up everything in the dining room and most of the grandmas, etc showed up, plus a few friends.  Clancy slept most of the time, being rocked by all the grandmas.  He did get up for a few cheetos and to check out his new 4 wheeler, but that only lasted about 5 minutes.  I made lots of cupcakes and cake pops.  I didnt get a close up of the cake pops, but they were brown with red and yellow drizzle.  We also had Big Al's Cheetos and drinks.  The party was at 2pm, so we didnt have a meal.  There were alot of pics of just didn't think to get :(.  I had everyone sign in on a Toy Story book.  My little man is still sick today.  I am trying to save his cake for him, so we can sing Happy Birthday and he can blow out his candle, but I might just have to remake it if it goes much longer. :(

Two Year Old Photo Shoot

I've tried a couple of times now to take 2 year old pics of my soon to be 2 year old little man. Looking back, I think he was actually sick both times. I have a few more poses in my head that I am going to try to get within this next week. We never get to all of them in one "shoot" because one of us always runs out of patience. He is such a cutie! He will be 2 on the 28th. He is having a Toy Story themed party of course. Enjoy the pics and check back for more!

Tree Planting

On Sunday, we planted 4 Live Oak trees at our land.  Cody and his mom had already planted the first 2 on Friday.  We weren't exactly prepared for a day of tree planting, so you will see that Kylee is in her nice church clothes the whole time.  It was pretty chilly but the kids all had a great time.  The pictures are not in order because I am tired of fighting with blogger on rearranging them.  I sure wish they would fix that.  Enjoy!

BTW, I sure do love being BEHIND the camera!! ;)

Operation Christmas Child

This year we are participating in Operation Christmas Child for our first time. We planned to each pick a gender and age range and each shop for and pack a shoebox. Things didn't quite work out that way. Kylee and I ended up doing the shopping, while Cody and Clancy helped pack the boxes. I couldn't believe how much we were able to purchase with the budget we had established. We could barely fit it all in the boxes!
I found these nifty fill-in-the-blank letters to pack with our shoeboxes. They tell about the kids and where we live. They are kind of hidden on the OCC website, but an old blog post I came across yesterday had a link to it. Just follow this link and click on the link to download the "graphic files". The "Coloring Page" is the one we used. Kylee had a lot of fun filling it out. And Clancy had a lot of fun bugging his sister and "coloring" on his.
And here is a pic of our packed up Shoeboxes. Kylee has really enjoyed and already learned alot from this experience. I'm sure we will be doing this for many years to come. We are hoping that one of recipients will write us a letter back! There is still time to pack your shoebox. This week (Nov 15-22) is National Collection Week.
